This is volume 3 of the 4 volume Encyclopaedia Biblica published between 1899 and 1903. The EB was truly an awe-inspiring, prodigious enterprise. It represented the best in Biblical research of the late 19th century, featuring articles written by William Robertson Smith( the main force behind the launching of the EB project, who died before he could see it come to fruition),Julius Wellhausen( the most well known adherent of the "Documentary Hypothesis"), and many, many other scholars from both the English-speaking world and Germany.
All four volumes have also been available at the Etana website. Unfortunately, that edition is marred by countless OCR errors, which make it a chore to read.
This Internet Archive edition of
vls.2-4 of the Encyclopaedia Biblica is in wonderful condition.
